Preveli beach and Rethymno

The Palm beach of Preveli is located at the exit of Mega river which forms a 500 meters long lake at the end.
Before we go to the beach, we make a stop for photos of the magnificent springs. The combination of vertical cliffs of the Kourtaliotiko  gorge, the river with its green water and the unique palm tree forest creates a magical atmosphere on the most romantic beach of Crete.

After 25 min. of walk we will get an unforgettable opportunity to swim in the crystal water of the Libyan sea, next to the tropical river, enjoy the sun and stroll through the exotic palm tree forest.
Going back we stop in the town of Rethymno, the third biggest town on Crete, where monuments of the archeological, Ottoman and Venetian eras coexist in a very interesting way. Have a stroll in alleys of the old town, visit the Turkish minarets and the Venetians fortresses or just enjoy coffee in the magnificent harbor.
