The road is fully relaxed due to the exceptional natural beauty that has not changed over the centuries. The landscape is full of surprises, which changes minute by minute, here bare and wild, there green and peaceful. The green fertility which is composed by olive green, vine green, citrus green and vegetable green adds living color to the grandeur of the mountains and the wild rock formations. The beautifully sculptured ΄΄Traditional Village΄΄, set in lush rolling hills, offers the opportunity to taste traditional hospitality in a magnificent setting of unparalleled Cretan beauty. Open 16 hours a day from throughout the whole season, the village invites visitors on a journey into Crete’s rural heartland to take a break in the serenity of the countryside.

In the ΄΄Traditional Village΄΄ with the small neighborhoods, the yards and its small, graphic street, people find again friendship and communication. Zeus, the God of ancient Greek Gods, represented hospitality and his spirit lives on today in the hearts of this village’s people.

Visitors can take a stroll around the village paths of Kato Karouzanos through arches strewn with bougainvillea. The villagers are waiting in their house yards to welcome them. Tour of the guests in the special formed places of the ΄΄Traditional Village΄΄ where they can see the several exhibits but also take part in the different events

Stop 1 – Taste of raki (local spirit) as it is produced direct from the distiller, cucumber and baked potatoes will be offered.

Stop 2 – Visit of Cretan house each group escort will introduce guests to Cretan culture.

Stop 3 – Visit of small museum with objects of old time and agriculture tools.

Stop 4 – Wine testing where Cretan wines will be offered.

Stop 5 – Guests will be offered Traditional dakos with tomato and feta cheese

Salads/Vegetarian: Tomatoes, Cucumber, Pepper, Onion, Cabbage/Carrot, , Τzatziki, Feta Cheese, Potatoe salad, Corn Salad, Pasta  , Lentils (Fakies), Green beans, Glistrida, Green Salad (Vlita) -All vegetables are from our garden

In the pan: Myzithropitakia (Cretan cheese pies), vegetable pies, pork with vegetables (tigania)

Vegetarians: Variety of vegetables on the gill – Green-red-yellow pepper, Eggplants, Zucchini, Cabbage, Carrot, Onion, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Corn Etc.

Hot items: Chicken in the grill or oven, Traditional cooked lamb with pasta

Fruits: Variety of Seasonal Fruits
